In brief
Stroke is one of the leading causes of long-term disability worldwide. Among survivors, limitations in lower limb motor function, balance, and proprioception significantly affect their independence and quality of life. There is a growing need for targeted rehabilitation strategies for stroke survivors, who often experience lower limb impairments that limit independence during a highly active stage of life. Task-oriented training (TOT) helps patients practice real-life movements, while rhythmic auditory stimulation (RAS), such as metronome beats, can guide and improve their timing and coordination.

Who can join
Age: 40 and older, up to 60. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.
You may qualify if…
- • Age 40-60 years
- First-time ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke
- Subacute stroke (<6 months)
- Brunnstrom stage ≥ 3 (lower limb)
- Able to walk 10 meters independently or with minimal support
- Able to follow simple commands
You may not qualify if…
- • Severe aphasia
- Other neurological disorders (Parkinson's, TBI)
- Uncontrolled cardiovascular issues (BP > 180 mmHg, arrhythmias)
- Severe visual, auditory, or orthopedic impairments
- Musculoskeletal injuries or medical conditions limiting participation
- Diabetes, hypertension, fractures, surgeries, OA, RA
