Age: 20 and older, up to 60. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.

• Body mass index > 40 kg/m2
• ASA II

You may not qualify if…

• Limited diaphragmatic ultrasound views
• Patient with pulmonary diseases (COPD, bronchial asthma, and interstitial fibrosis)
• Patient refusal
