- Major spinal surgery
- Under general anesthesia
You may not qualify if…
- Left ventricular ejection fraction < 35%
- Known intracranial pathology
- Severe pulmonary disease
- Body mass index >40 kg•m-²
- Emergency surgery
- Planned awake intubation
- Known autonomic dysfunction
