Age: 18 and older. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.

You may qualify if…

• Patients requiring thoracentesis for pleural effusion drainage as determined by a physician based on clinical need.
• Signed informed consent.

You may not qualify if…

• Patients under the age of 18.
• Patients with malignancies other than lung adenocarcinoma.
