Age: 2 and older, up to 7. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.
You may qualify if…
- scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia,
- American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status 1 or 2 fasted, unpremeditated
You may not qualify if…
- parents refuse consent
- presence of moderate or severe cardiorespiratory disease
- difficult airway
- malignant hyperthermia
- neuromuscular disorders
- obesity
- obstructive sleep apnea
