Who can join

Age: 2 and older, up to 7. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.

You may qualify if…

• scheduled for elective surgery under general anesthesia,
• American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status 1 or 2 fasted, unpremeditated

You may not qualify if…

• parents refuse consent
• presence of moderate or severe cardiorespiratory disease
• difficult airway
• malignant hyperthermia
• neuromuscular disorders
• obesity
• obstructive sleep apnea
