Age: 20 and older, up to 70. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: accepted.

• hepatic cirrhosis and hepatitis C and undergoing endoscopy
• Alcoholic liver and undergoing endoscopy
• Normal liver undergoing endoscopy

You may not qualify if…

• pregnancy
• Children
