Who can join

Age: 6 and older, up to 18. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: not accepted.

You may qualify if…

• Ages 6 to 18 years,
• Must be able to swallow tablets, and
• Biopsy proven ulcerative colitis

You may not qualify if…

• Allergy or hypersensitivity to Mesalamine or other salicylates
• Use of rectal medications
