Age: 50 and older, up to 79. Sex: any. Healthy volunteers: accepted.

• history of colorectal cancer or polyps
• flexible sigmoidoscopy within five years of enrollment
• barium enema within five years of enrollment
• colonoscopy within five years of enrollment
